Lecture 4. Case Studies in Migration and Gender

This lecture underlines the importance of an intersectional feminist approach to the history of architecture in Latin America, particularly the ways in which inequalities based on gender, class, race, and other traits have produced distinct building types, construction labor organizations, and divisions within the discipline of architecture in the region. Topics include, domestic typologies in Brazil, and the role of women in the discipline of architecture in Chile and Brazil.
